CEO Blog – 12.1.24

Welcome back to my blog, and a slightly belated but nevertheless sincere happy new year to you all!

January has flown by, and as usual, the start of term has been as busy as ever. But busy is good, as it means progress and positive developments for our wonderful schools and community.
One particularly exciting update is that the planning for our Rochdale school has been approved, and we are now gearing up to start the long-awaited building work in February. This milestone has been a result of hard work, perseverance and dedication from the entire team, and we are thrilled to be moving into this final stretch of preparation to bring our vision for the Rochdale school to life. The journey has been a challenging one, but the prospect of seeing our plans materialise is incredibly motivating for all of us.

In the past week, I had the opportunity to catch up with the heads of our various schools to discuss new developments. We delved into topics such as capital works, recruitment and overall development work across the group. It’s always heartening to see the passion and commitment from our school leaders as we work together to enhance the educational experience we offer.
One particularly lovely experience was spending time with the staff at Hollinwood Academy during a review of the destination matrix. The dedication and care shown by our staff in ensuring the best possible future opportunities for our students are truly inspiring.
These moments remind me of the great privilege it is to work with such incredible individuals who are deeply committed to the growth and well-being of our students.
Exciting discussions have also been taking place regarding the next round of Disney trips. These trips have proven to be incredible experiences for our students, providing them with unforgettable memories and invaluable learning opportunities.
I am looking forward to being involved in the planning and execution of these trips and cannot wait to witness the joy and growth they will undoubtedly bring to our students.
As we move forward into the coming weeks, our focus remains on building for the future. The progress we are making, from the approval of the Rochdale school plans to the ongoing development work across our schools, represents a strong foundation on which we will continue to grow.
Together, we are shaping a brighter future for all those in our care, and I am grateful for the dedication and passion of our entire New Bridge Group community as we work towards this collective vision.
I look forward to sharing more exciting developments with you in the weeks to come.
Here’s to a fulfilling and productive term ahead for all of us at New Bridge Group.
